This is to inform the public that the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), particularly the MGB-RO6 is not any way connected to Mobile No. 0921 273 9156. We have received reports that certain individuals or parties using the said number are misrepresenting Regional Director Leo Van Juguan and/or the MGB Regional Office 6. We were informed that a person posing as Regional Director Leo Van Juguan has called two DENR field offices in separate occasions allegedly asking for transportation assistance (vans) to convey a group of persons. In another instance, the caller pretending as Regional Director Leo Van Juguan had asked for P5, 000 electronic load from a DENR field office, which was acted favorably. We will look into these incidents.
Please be informed that such solicitations and acts are fraudulent and by all means, unauthorized.
Thus, we hereby enjoin you to warn your constituencies (e.g. mining companies, permit holders, contractors, traders, etc.), government offices and the general public against any solicitations and acts allegedly by Regional Director Leo Van Juguan or by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau.
MGB-RO6 condemns such acts and requests the public to immediately report similar cases or any other suspicious undertaking to this Office at Telephone No. (033) 508 8029 or 336 2815.
