MGB RO-6 conducted ISO management review

Iloilo City –The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. 6 (MGB RO-6) conducted a management review on November 28-29, 2018 at the Alobijod Cove Resort, Guimaras Island.

A second this year, the management review body assessed the organization’s level of compliance to its Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety Management System (QEHSMS) that has been put in place since the MGB RO-6 obtained three ISO certifications early this year for three standards, namely: BS EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, BS EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety Management System.

In 2017, MGB RO-6 started integrating the three ISO standards in its systems and operations and went through the two-stage audit of NQA Philippines, Inc., an international auditing body, which awarded the three ISO certificates to MGB RO-6 in March this year.

Regional Director Roger A. de Dios urged the MGB RO-6 organization to continue what has been started in the improvement of its systems and procedures based on the three ISO standards.  “I am requesting the full support of everyone in the efforts of this office to make our services more fitting and responsive to the needs of the public whose feedback serves as the gauge of our performance as an office,” RD de Dios said.

The ISO organization is spearheaded by the Management Representative, Engr. Rene de la Cruz, and Internal Lead Auditor, Engr. Florian D. Jimenez.  The body reviewed how the organization meets its objectives, targets and procedures for integrated quality management, environmental, health and safety management systems anchored on the MGB Region VI QEHS Policy which reads:
