MGB-6 kicks-off month-long anniversary celebration with a Thanksgiving Mass

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. 6 (MGB RO-6) is celebrating the 117th anniversary of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau.  MGB RO-6 Regional Director Leo Van V. Juguan, CESO V said that it has always been the practice of MGB-6 to start the month-long celebration with a Eucharistic Celebration.  Reverend Father Joel Eslabra, Chaplain of the West Visayas State University Hospital presided the mass today, November 6, 2015 at the MGB RO-6 office.

RD Juguan added that it is always good to offer thanksgiving for life, for work and for being a part of the MGB.  “May we continue to grow and improve on how we perform our jobs.  If we have done our best in our specific functions, we can be sure that at the end of the day, we have delivered what is expected of us and gave justice to our oath as public servants.”

MGB-6 has lined-up activities for the month such as IEC activities and personnel team-building.  In collaboration with the local government, other national government agencies  such as the Office of the Civil Defense and schools, MGB-6 has been disseminating information on geologic hazards (landslides and flooding) as part of the disaster risk reduction and management activities of the government.
