Ms. Mae Y. Magarzo, chief of the Geosciences Division emphasized the importance of a mining industry that meets the three pillars of sustainable development – economic, environment and social responsibility – to meet the standards of responsible mining in her opening message during the event.

MGB RO-6 personnel learned as well about understanding different motivations towards an effective interpersonal relationship in the workplace from two resource persons, Dr. Amelita P. Lelia-Piojo and Ma. Maria Luisa Hervas who specialize on industrial psychology and training as part of the office’s gender and development activities.

The resource persons lectured on different behavioral factors of persons zeroing in on the total behavior theory.  They also facilitated a workshop to facilitate a shared experience among the participants that would promote a strong sense of community (team) among themselves having gained a clearer understanding of each other’s world views.  The goal is to develop a work atmosphere that would enhance the productivity of personnel in their work performance in achieving their mandate and serving their stakeholders.

The learning event was capped by fellowship and program honoring the retirees of MGB RO-6.IMG_20191128_162307
