The Mines and Geosciences Bureau is holding a Consultative Meeting on May 19 to 20, 2021 at 9:00am to present the draft Implementing Rules and Regulations of Executive Order No. 130.
E.O. No. 130 was signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on April 14, 2021 amending specific provisions of E.O. No. 79, series of 2012, “Institutionalizing and Implementing Reforms in the Philippine Mining Sector, Providing Policies and Guidelines to Ensure Environmental Protection and Responsible Mining in the Utilization of Mineral Resources.”
The two-day meeting will be done in batches:
May 19, 2021 – For All Mining Companies
May 20, 2021 – For NGOs/LGUs/Academe
