Regional Director Leo Van V. Juguan of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Region-6 has announced that the MGB is now accepting applications for undergraduate local scholarship for Baccalaureate Degrees in Geology, Mining Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering starting school year 2012-2013. The MGB will have at least eight (8) available slots for the said scholarship program.
Applicants for the program may be high school graduates; students currently enrolled in college/university; or qualified personnel currently employed with the MGB. For high school graduates, the applicant must belong to the upper 10 percentile with preference to valedictorian or salutatorian; must have passed the required admission test of the school/university/college offering the courses of BS Geology, Mining Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering; must be physically and mentally fit, and with good moral character.
