Iloilo City – The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Regional Office No. 6, DENR holds its first Management Review for the year last June 27, 2018, at the Iloilo Grand Hotel to discuss updates on its operations and continuous improvement of its quality, environment, health, and safety (QEHS) policy in line with its ISO certifications. MGB RO-6 is certified in three ISO standards, namely: BS EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, BS EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety Management System
The ISO core group composed of the Management Representative, Internal Lead Auditor, Auditors, Safety Officer, Pollution Control Officer, and process owners reviewed the MGB RO-6 QEHS policy, and the extent to which this is met. The results of the internal audit, status of compliance to safety and environmental management system were among the major item on the agenda.
MGB RO-6 Regional Director Leo Van V. Juguan, CESO V, urged the body to give their excellence in giving service to clients, as it is the main essence of being ISO certified. Continuous improvement of systems and innovations must also be pursued to ensure that the MGB RO-6 is living up to its ISO certifications in three standards. (MGB, DENR RO-6)
