MGB-6 CELEBRATES 111TH BUREAU ANNIVERSARY

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 6 (MGB-6) in Iloilo City commemorates once again its anniversary November this year.  On its 11^th anniversary, the now Mines and Geosciences Bureau dates back during the Spanish regime, known as the “Inspeccion General de Minas.”

As part of its anniversary activities, MGB-6 celebrated a Mass followed by an office blessing on November 6, 2009.  A simple opening program followed after the mass.

DENR Regional Executive Director (RED) Benjamin T. Tumaliuan addressed the workforce of MGB-6 in his message.  He emphasized the need for government employees to love their job so as to deliver quality service to its clientele.  He also shared recent developments in the DENR Region 6 such as the improvements made with the DENR-6 hostel.

MGB-6 Regional Director Leo Van V. Juguan formally opened the month-long commemoration of the MGB anniversary.  He said that just like in the past years, MGB-6 will take a one day break from work as it holds a “Fun Day” towards the end of the month.  This is a way of renewing camaraderie, strengthening teamwork and cooperation among the MGB-6 personnel.
