Iloilo City – The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office 6 (MGB-6) issues a FRAUD ADVISORY today stating:
“FRAUD ADVISORY
We have received reports that unscrupulous persons are misrepresenting the OIC-Office of the Regional Director and officials and employees of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office 6 (MGB-6) and are asking for donations and/or solicitations. Please be informed that such solicitations are fraudulent and UNAUTHORIZED / ILLEGAL.
We condemn these fraudulent acts and assure the public that the OIC-Office of the Regional Director, officials and employees of MGB-6 will never ask for donations/solicitations from its clients and/other entities.
We sternly warn the public, particularly our clientele (mining companies, permittees, permit holders, contractors, traders, applicants, and other mining industry stakeholders) against such fraudulent persons and to report them immediately to the proper authorities.
Moreover, the public is hereby advised to beware of any person/entity soliciting for donations/assistance and/or claiming to be connected with or acts on behalf of MGB-6, and to immediately report such acts to our Office through telephone numbers (033) 3362815 and (033) 5088029 or thru our email at mgbro6iloilo@gmail.com.
