Iloilo City – Starting February 1, 2021, the Environmental Management Bureau Region 6 (EMB 6) shall require a certificate of approval to be issued by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 6 (MGB-6) for Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) applications covering projects extracting non-metallic resources. This is in view of EMB Memorandum Circular No. 2020-27 with subject “PROJECT THRESHOLD FOR EXTRACTION OF NON-METALLIC RESOURCES APPLYING FOR ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATE.”
